Make a Real Impact with HVO
At HVO, we understand the unique challenges individuals with disabilities encounter when seeking meaningful employment—unemployment rates for people with disabilities remain significantly higher than average. Our mission is to break down these barriers by providing inclusive employment opportunities, hands-on vocational training, and vital community engagement programs.
Your support is essential to sustaining HVO’s life-changing services. Every donation helps us deliver job coaching, skills development, and workplace readiness programs that empower individuals with disabilities to achieve independence and career success. By supporting HVO, you directly contribute to a future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive in the workforce.
Join HVO in our commitment to building a more inclusive, supportive world for people with disabilities. Your generosity fuels our mission and transforms lives every day.
Your support helps HVO create meaningful and empowering job opportunities for individuals with disabilities. There are several impactful ways you can make a difference:
Direct Dontaions
Every contribution to HVO provides essential vocational training, job coaching, and employment services for people with disabilities. Your gift directly supports our mission of building a more inclusive workforce and empowering individuals to achieve independence.
IRAs
Use your IRA to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) to MDI. QCDs can satisfy your required minimum distributions (RMDs), if certain rules are met.
Workplace Giving & Matching Gifts
Many employers offer workplace giving programs or matching gift opportunities. Check with your company to see if you can double your impact by designating HVO as your charity of choice.
Volunteering
Many employers offer monetary grants to nonprofits like HVO based on employee volunteer hours. By volunteering at HVO—whether serving on a committee or assisting at events—you may be able to have your volunteer time matched with a corporate donation. Check with your employer to see if your volunteer efforts can go even further!
Estate Donations/ Estate Planning
Plan to make a difference through a bequest, will, trust, life insurance policy, retirement account or stocks and assets. You can show your personal compassion and set an example for others by remembering MDI in your will, trust or other planned gift.
In-kind Gifts
If you want to make an impact but can’t volunteer, consider giving in-kind gifts. Non-cash donations such as gift cards, vouchers, or other useful items directly support HVO’s fundraising efforts and help sustain our programs for people with disabilities.
