JOB DESCRIPTION


JOB TITLE: Production Employee--Inspector/Packer (2nd Shift)

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: 2nd Shift Manager

SUPERVISES: N/A

EMPLOYEE STATUS: Non-exempt

PURPOSE: The Inspector/Packer shall inspect and pack medical devices in accordance with good manufacturing practices.

AREA OF PROGRAM RESPONSIBILITY: Production - Medical Manufacturing Area

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1) Inspect medical devices for defects
2) Pack correct number of medical devices into case
3) Label cases correctly
4) Record lot number counts consistently
5) Willing to be cross-trained as needed
6) Repair medical products as requested
7) Set up scales to specified weight of product
8) Must be familiar with FDA and ISO standards as it relates to HVO’s quality system
9) Serve as a role model to demonstrate good work habits and behaviors

GENERAL DUTIES:

1) Able to keep own time sheet
2) Keep work area neat and clean
3) Maintain clean uniform
4) Comply with HVO safety rules and regulations

MINIMAL REQUIREMENTS/PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: Knowledge of production work

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1) Able to lift up to 40 pounds

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma/GED preferred
