SEASONAL POSITION AVAILABLE:
Maintenance Assistant (Seasonal)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Maintain a valid North Carolina driver’s license and be approved by HVO’s insurance carrier
2) Must have basic knowledge of mechanical equipment
3) Perform assigned painting tasks and cosmetic improvements as instructed
4) Maintain mowing assignments (push and riding mowers) including weed-eating requirements for grounds of all 3 buildings
5) Keep walkways and sidewalks clear of any obstructions or debris
6) Perform light maintenance tasks as requested
7) Ability to relate and work with disadvantaged adults
8) Must be flexible and work at least 30 hours per week
9) Must be at least 18 years of age

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma/GED preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis

JOB DUTIES:
The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for keeping the grounds maintained (seasonally) and other maintenance/grounds tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor.

RATE:
Entry $9.00/hourly
