  • All of HVO's training programs are fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF)

Services Offered

  • Supported Employment Services - Provides intensive job training to persons with the most severe disabilities and long term follow-up services to ensure their employment placement is successful.
  • Adult Development Vocational Program (ADVP) - Provides pre-vocational services to individuals with developmental disabilities that maximizes each person's individual potential.
  • Vocational Training Services - Provides paid training that emphasizes the development of work habits and skills that prepare individuals for the competitive job market. Vocational counseling, job seeking, assistance with job retention skills, and job coaching services provided.
  • Community-Based Services - Provides job assessment through job tours, job shadowing and job sampling activities in businesses in the local community.
  • Vocational Evaluation - Provides an assessment of vocational strengths and assistance in developing vocational goals.
  • Learning and Enrichment Center - Provides recreation and leisure activities to individuals that are unable to or do not want to work full-time in our employment enterprise.
  • Community Alternatives Program (CAP) - Provides one-on-one assistance to clients (if needed) to assist them in successfully integrating into work and leisure activities at HVO.

HVO utilizes the medium of paid work and other activities to maximize each individual’s potential. Our Board of Directors and staff believe that through meaningful, satisfying work and leisure activities, people are able to live more independently, successfully and productively.
